The complexities of life and love in contemporary Southern California are explored in this story of Vietnamese manicurist Tam (Porter Lynn) and her customer Brendan (John Ruby), a mechanic whose oil-stained fingernails are causing problems on the home front.  Through this simple interaction, Tam and Brendan learn to face their own family situations, culture clashes and the growing attraction they feel for each other.  Preceded by 3 short films from the Vietnamese International Film Festival:

When WWII GI Felix Longoria’s widow is denied the use of the chapel in Three Rivers, Texas for her husband’s funeral because “The whites won’t like it,” a Latino civil rights movement is born that will ultimately help propel John F. Kennedy to the White House and lead to the passage of the most important civil rights legislation of the 20th Century.  This is the story of how The Longoria Affair affected the lives of two WWII veterans and a Texas Senator and ultimately changed civil rights in America.  Winner of the 2011 Award for Outstanding Contribution to American Civil Rights History from the California State Legislature.

Superstars Tyrone Power, Basil Rathbone and Linda Darnell star in this acclaimed 1940 remake of the Zorro story.  Nominated for a 1941 Academy Award and named in 2009 to the National Film Library by the Library of Congress, this version features equal doses of romance and swordplay, which many consider to be among the finest ever filmed.  A wonderful supporting cast and lavish costumes round out this classic tale of heroism and justicia in Old Orange County.

Directed by John Ford, starring Dolores del Rio, Pedro Armendariz, Henry Fonda and featuring brilliant cinematography by Gabriel Figueroa, The Fugitive was ranked as one of Ford's favorite films.  Based of the Graham Greene novel about a revolutionary priest in Central America. A priest who is The Fugitive is trying to get away from the authorities who have denounced Christianity and want anyone linked to it dead. The Fugitive finds shelter with an Indian Woman (The Woman), a faithful parishioner, who gives the priest directions to Puerto Grande, where he could then board a ship and sail to freedom in America. Also starring native Californio Leo Carrillo as the Police Chief.

Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan) plays Leroy Lowe, a Ku Klux Klan leader who confronts everything he’s been taught to hate when he’s sentenced to three years of hard labor on a prison work farm, where Warden Merville (Stacy Keach), dead set on rehabilitating Leroy, chooses new inmate Emilio (Nacho Libre’s Hector Jimenez), a Hispanic field worker imprisoned for fighting for labor rights, to be his cellmate in this quirky comedy.  His weekly rehabilitation meetings with the warden take on a different meaning when Lowe begins to fall for Madalena (Olga Segura), a beautiful Mexican maid is hired to clean the warden's office.
